The National Wrestling Association was created by Greg Hatcher on April 6, 2011. Greg remains the founding father of Arkansas wrestling, helping the state grow from 2 clubs to over 50 AAA sanctioned high school wrestling programs and 3 collegiate programs! Building the sport on a national level became an important goal and therefore the National Wrestling Association began. The NWA was primarily created in order to aid fundraising efforts for high schools and colleges throughout the country. To date the National Wrestling Association has helped several colleges bring wrestling programs back that had previously been eliminated mostly due to Title IX regulations.
