COACHING EXPERIENCE

Niagara County Community College Dual Meet Record: 39-5-1
Assistant Wrestling Coach: 2004 - Present
NJCAA Nationals: 2004 - 2005 (13th)& 2005 - 2006 (13th)
National Qualifiers: 2004 - Present (17)
Academic All-Americans: 2004 - Present (7)
Regional Team Champions: 2005 & 2006
NJCAA All-Americans: 2004 - Present (3) 7th, 6th, 2nd
New York State State Placers: 2004 - Present (8) 8th, 7th, 7th, 6th, 6th, 6th, 6th, 4th
There are many things that I am very proud of with this program, both on and off the mat. Having seven Academic All-Americans is a big one, we also had several of my student athletes participate on student government, and some who were student ambassadors with student activities. I instituted a study group two nights a week, and started fundraisers that allowed the athletes to buy athletic apparel. We also run a thirty-six team high school tournament, and a free-style and Greco tournament that with the help of my athletes goes off almost flawlessly. I was given almost exclusive control of running practice so I was allowed to bring new ideas and techniques to the athletes. Recruitment was also a very important aspect in college wrestling the turnover for a two year college is very rapid. So when ever we were not competing you could find me at a high school tournament or dual meet.

Attica Central School Dual Meet Record: 23-18
Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach: 2001 - 2004
2004: New York State Team Rank 2nd & Sectional Champions
2001-2004: Individual State Place Winners: (5) 4th, 4th, 4th, 2nd, 1st
I was given the chance to work one on one with several athletes over the years. Several of them went onto win individual sectional titles and place very high at the New York State tournament.

Attica Central School Dual Meet Record: 76-26-5
Head Modified Wrestling Coach: 2000 - 2003
When taking over the modified program the participation level had dropped dramatically over the last several years. Most of this was due to the fact that almost every year there was a different coach and there was no continuity to the program. So when taking over the first thing I did was actively recruit student athletes. Very soon after I went from having ten students at practice to twenty-five. I was in charge of setting up my own schedule for practice time and meets. About seventy percent went on to wrestle onto the Junior Varsity, and Varsity team latter in their career. Three of them went onto place at the state tournament.

Alexander Central High School Dual Meet Record: 1-9
Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach: 1999 - 2000
I came to the team after the teams assistant coach left for personal reasons. The season was over half way done, so there was not much time to make major changes to what the students had been taught. The program was in a major decline over the last several years so there were not many students to work with. But the team did finish fourth at the sectional tournament, and we did qualify four athletes to the state qualifier. Two of those athletes went onto finish third at that qualifier, and one went onto wrestle his entire college career at Edinboro University and graduated with his college degree on time.
